An agent who invests and specializes in a low-risk niche market came to us with a concern — the rising cost of insurance for their program. Because they operate within a highly specific niche, they follow strict underwriting guidelines for what fits their business model. Their vision was to create a customized insurance product that was both accessible and affordable for their clients.
Enter CAP.
The agent approached us to help bring their idea to life. They had already drafted a manuscript policy outlining the coverages they needed — coverages that weren’t easily available in the traditional market.
From there, our team went to work. We collaborated with our industry partners to manage all the technical aspects: identifying a fronting company, securing appropriate licensing, refining policy language, and consulting with a well-respected risk management expert along the way.
It was far from a standard request, and there were challenges at every step. But together, we made it happen. We’re proud to share that the first policy has been written — and their vision is now becoming a reality. Even though the program is now up and running, our work isn’t done. Our team will remain involved for 12-18 months to make any needed modifications, while monitoring capacity and reinsurance needs as the program grows.
